Association Medical Cannabis Spain.. It’s official

Well, the name at least.

During the application process we naturally had to put forward our proposed name.

When I started the voluntary information websites it was just logical to brand things Medical Cannabis in Spain because it was the expats and non fluent Spanish speakers that I was trying to keep informed. They were the types of searches that they were using to find info or even myself. Therefore I just kept it as ‘Association Medical Cannabis Spain’

The name was rejected and had to be Spanish.

To use a Brian Clough quote, whenever I have a disagreement “We talk about it for 20 minutes and then we decide I was right.”.. So I spoke with my lawyer and my lawyer agreed with some points and we challenged the decision. It delayed proceedings a month perhaps but the authorities half ruled in our favour and we are now officially registered under the Spanish version of ‘Asoc Medica de Cannabis en Espana’

The latest update is basically;

“the association should be fully registered within 20 days. In the meantime we are preparing all the books that the association must have. I hope that in our next meeting I will be able to give you the documents with the association registered, the final NIF and the books to run the association”

Therefore we are estimating an Autumn date before we start catering fully for members. If you are interested in becoming one of the early members please view the appropriate pages beginning at Association Medical Cannabis Spain

Edit. July 12th We have now received our provisional fiscal/tax number.
